Paris Saint-Germain are back in the Champions League semi-finals after a dramatic 6-4 aggregate win over Barcelona on Tuesday. PSG won the match 4-1.

It is their first time reaching this stage in three years.

Things looked grim for PSG early on as Barcelona took a commanding lead, but a red card for Ronald Araujo shifted the momentum.

Trailing 3-2 after the first leg, things got worse for PSG when Raphinha put Barca ahead early in the second leg.

Barcelona’s hopes dwindled when Araujo saw red, protesting the decision to no avail. From then on, PSG dominated, with Dembele adding to his former club’s woes with a crucial goal.

From there, it was all PSG. Dembele pulled one back before half-time, Vitinha equalised after the break, and Mbappe scored the winner from the penalty spot. With Barca pushing for a late equaliser, Mbappe grabbed another to seal the deal.

Young stars like Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi showed their game skills, with Yamal impressing with his goal for Barcelona. However, despite their youth, Barcelona’s lack of discipline ultimately cost them. With both teams boasting youthful squads, the match made history with three players under 18 starting – a testament to the rising talent in football’s biggest stage.

Barcelona will rue the red card, which completely changed the game. The sending off allowed PSG to dominate possession and eventually overwhelm the ten men.

This tie also saw a bit of history made with three players under 18 starting for their respective teams – a first in the Champions League knockout stages.
